Questions
How long does it take?
Most videos with captions take a few seconds. Videos without captions are transcribed from the audio, which takes from under a minute to a few minutes depending on length. Pro videos skip the queue.
How are the best clips picked?
Clipscrybe reads the whole transcript the way a short-form editor would. It looks for moments that make sense without the rest of the video, grab attention in the first few seconds and land a payoff before they end. Each clip comes with its in and out times, a caption idea and the reason it was picked.
Can I download the clips as videos?
Yes, on Pro. Press Make the videos, choose your copy of the video file, and Clipscrybe turns your best clips into vertical 9:16 videos with word-by-word captions and the hook at the top. The videos are made on your own device, so your file is never uploaded. Free users get the exact in and out times, a subtitle file and captions for the best clip.
Which languages work?
Pick the language you want the transcript in: English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Arabic or Hindi. If the video is in a different language, Clipscrybe translates it.
What is the Hitline?
It's the single line in the video most likely to get quoted and shared, with its timestamp. Pro shows why it was picked: a hook phrase, a strong claim, a question, a twist or an audience reaction.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your card is charged for the plan you picked, £7.99 a month or £59 a year, and Pro carries on. Cancel any time before then from your profile and you won't be charged. If you cancel later, Pro stays on until the end of the month or year you've paid for.
Do you have referral codes?
Yes. If a creator or a friend gave you a code, add it when you start your trial and you'll get 10% off your first month of Pro (or your first year, if you pay yearly). Once you have an account, open your profile menu and choose Invite friends to get your own link to share.
Where are my transcripts kept?
Only in your own browser, under Recent. Clipscrybe doesn't keep a copy on its servers. Clearing Recent removes them from your device.
